Chapters 7/8
In Chapters 7 and 8 the book “The Art of Social Media” discussed ways to obtain more followers and a consistent base of readers throughout social media platforms. This intrigued me with companies like Isagenix who use social media to gain new customers, new associates and promote their products through their influencers. One of my buddies is a representative for Isagenix and has tried to get me signed up plenty of times before. Isagenix is a company that focuses on body image and promotes healthy lifestyles through its shakes, challenges, and different types of diet recommendations. The friends who have tried to get me to join has earned up to $13,000 from one of the challenges the company sponsors. He gains followers by continuously posting about his success, links his Instagram and Facebook to each other allowing him to easily find new potential members for Isagenix products. Using multiple platforms to direct new followers to one has proven effective for him and has allowed him to pack up his stuff from the United States and move halfway around the country. He continues to share everything he can whenever he can.
