With Post Malone dropping his latest Album
“Hollywood’s Bleeding” I wanted this post to look at some of the songs I see as
noteworthy on this album. Overall the album is best listened to when listening
to it from the first track to the last while skipping none of the songs. The
album has a tone to it where each song ties to the next. The album is his third
studio album and Spotify states that he is the fifth most listened to artist in
the world at this moment. The first song that shows importance is “Hollywood’s
Bleeding” the song portrays all the life being sucked out of the area of
Hollywood. The song has an array of vocals, a strong sense of rhythm and
stimulates the listener to hear the song as a cry to wake up. This song is the
first on the album and sets the stage for the rest of the album. The songs to
follow use a similar approach to the melody, and tempo. This song is the
pacesetter. “Enemies” is another noteworthy track on this album due to the
lyrics “Friends are like the autumn, every year they leavin” this song is for
all the people that stopped supporting the artist in his journey to achieve his
dreams. Now with Post Malone achieving this status now, he must see his friends
left, attempting to come back like nothing happened. Relating this into our
world we have seen plenty of our friends disappear from our lives when we are
not doing well but tend to gravitate back to when we have our up points in
life. The third track that led to listeners to take to twitter is “Take What
You Want.” Fans took to Twitter because Ozzy Osbourne from Black Sabbath is on
this track with Post Malone and Travis Scott. Now some fans do not know who
Ozzy is and are unaware of his own career with Black Sabbath and the success of
“Iron Man” to his release of “Crazy Train.” Twitter posts can be found of fans
believing that Post Malone discovered Ozzy and are praising him for “shining a
light” to “up and coming artist.” This obviously is not the case. Overall this
album is a solid album. The rhythm is consistent, the melody is different for
each song, creating a different listening experience for each listener. Being
his third album the fans should expect more music from Post Malone in the
future. My prediction is new music from him in a year and a half.
Unfortunately, I have not yet had the opportunity to listen to Post Malone's new track. Although, I love so much of his work. He finds a way to connect meaningful things to song lyrics all while making it catchy. After reading your post I will definitely make sure to go and give the album a listen.
