Analytics
Analytics are the driving factor behind what makes companies, individuals, or groups successful on all Social Media platforms. Each platform has its own analytics that provide similar statistics, but pertain to the relevancy of the platform. On Twitter, anyone can view their analytics for their personal tweets. This portion of data shows the user can see “Impressions”, meaning how many users saw the tweet. Beneath this, another statistic displayed as “Total Interactions.” The user can view what counts as an interaction, this reveals total likes a tweet has, how many users opened the tweet, Profile clicks the tweet acquired, and the quantified amount of users retweeting this to their own timelines. These analytics are intriguing to me due to how numbers are shown when comparing tweets to the next tweet. When I tweet jokes, trends show that these acquire more attention and travel farther than a serious tweet about something I may have an opinion on. I used to assist in operating Phi Mu...
