Star Wars Episode IX

With the latest Star Wars film being released this past week I had a lot of speculation as to if I would enjoy it. After Disney announced that they were creating new Star Wars films I was excited. When Episode VII: The Force Awakens was released I went to the premiere showing and I was disappointed due to my hopes being too high. Next, when Episode VIII: The Last Jedi came out I went into the film with no expectations, my hopes for the film were not high and even after the movie I was majorly upset and disappointed. The film for me lacked plausibility and logic within the Star Wars franchise universe that had already been previously developed with the original trilogy, the Prequels, and all the animated TV shows, movies, and even books that came out. With Episode IX coming out I was not ready to be disappointed again but being the fan I am, I still had to see how the producers and writers closed this trilogy out. Without giving away any spoilers to the film I was very impressed with how the film corrected items from Episode VIII and continued to develop plot items and close plot holes within the film to better explain Episode VIII. Along with not being utterly disappointed, the film visually was beautiful. Each lighting and picture for the film was well created and helped the audience really obtain a feel for the movie. For the rocky adventure this latest trilogy has been, in my amateur opinion, the directors saved the trilogy in the latest installment to the best of their ability.

Thanksgiving is Christmas' Shadow

With the holiday season quickly approaching it appears that Thanksgiving always gets the short end of the stick. With Christmas and the entire season of Winter, this holiday tends to be forgotten. Stores like Walmart, Target, Meijer, Hobby Lobby, Kroger put up Christmas decorations directly after Halloween. Fall decorations disappear after October 31, and immediately winter decorations get placed out. These decorations usually consist of Christmas trees, lights, nativity scenes, snowmen, snowflakes. All the colors change from bright reds, yellows, oranges, transitions to reds and greens . This gives Thanksgiving a very short period, specifically three days. The rule in my family has always been Thanksgiving before Christmas, in the house the Christmas season does not begin until Black Friday shopping begins.
