The Hunt Continues
Recently I have had two in-person interviews and a phone interview for potential full-time positions. The first position I interviewed for was with Coopertires as an Internal Controls Analyst. To get to an onsite interview at Coopertires I first went through two phone interviews. The initial phone interview was with recruiters for the company asking about specifics on my resume. The second phone interview was with the Chief Accounting Officer, CAO, this interview focused on what I saw in the position, what questions I had for the specific position, further details about Coopertires, and to get a personal feel for my voice and character. After each interview, I made sure to extend my gratitude for the opportunity which ended up leading to an official onsite interview. During the onsite interview, four employees from various roles in accounting came and conversed with me, they asked specific questions and allowed me to ask questions in return. In the end, it was stated that if I did not hear back by Monday the twenty-third, I should not expect to hear anything until after the New Year. I am hopeful for an offer for this position. The other position is with Rowmark, my current employer. They have been searching for a Pricing Analyst for quite some time and I was asked if I would be interested in interviewing for the position. This process was less formal than Coopertires since I have already been working with Rowmark for the past fourteen months. With these two potential full-time opportunities, I look forward to the beginning of the New Year and to continue my growth within the professional world.
