Christmas

The church that I attend with my family has been going through a series focusing on the four Sundays of Advent. Each weekend they talk about the four candles within the Advent Wreath. The four Sundays represent Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. I have only been to two of the services. Today was focused on Love. We as an American culture tend to “love” a lot. I love to eat, I love dogs, I love a lot. The message stated that love is more than a feeling. While we may feel love, love is more of a verb. In acts of love, we tend to feel the emotion and are a result of putting love towards something. In these actions, he stated that we truly begin to love. The message allowed for new meaning to how to love someone or something. With the world being as chaotic and eccentric as it is, everyone could use a little bit of love. Whether that be paying it forward at the drive-through, a simple smile or hello to a stranger, or being patient while driving and letting that person over that already cut you off. The Christmas season is about being together, giving, and family. This Christmas season is different for my family because all of the siblings will not be home at the same time. Instead, our schedules conflict and we are making the most of our limited time together. Merry Christmas!
