Capstone: Presenting

Wow, it's been a while. I have been very behind on this blog post. Life took over and my procrastination really set in. Senioritis hit real hard, instead of staying ahead in my classes I fell behind. I was in the deep end of an enormous pool. This procrastination resulted in me focusing solely on my group's capstone project. As that project wrapped up we spent more time together, in the Dicke building practicing our presentation, adding more information, and ultimately finally presenting to our client and professors within the Dicke College of Business. The presentation was scheduled to present for roughly twenty minutes and last approximately forty-five minutes total for questions and comments. Looking back. The presentation that day lasted for the twenty-minute time period and the following lasted for about an hour and ten minutes for questions and comments. The questions our group was faced with were challenging, difficult to answer, and rapidly decreased our confidence that we did a well-rounded presentation for our client. The majority of the questions focused on a marketing campaign and plan for promoting our idea as well as including an in-depth cost scenario. With our group only performing a one-semester capstone, time was not on our side and we were unable to forecast the financial effects or the costing that the project would end up utilizing. At the end of the day, our advisor for the project mentioned that for the time of had, and information we found that we did an excellent job. This project was the most strenuous project I have completed and I cannot stress enough that this needs to be something worked on wholeheartedly. If not the professors and clients will eat up your group and it will create time for distraught for you and your group.
