Escaping Reality
Well, I am a few blog posts behind and will be attempting to release 6 posts this week. Two posts each day, maybe not two today. This week is looking very hectic now that I have done this to myself. Last week got away from me having me miss a lot of what was happening around me. This week and the next few I am looking to focus on my surrounding world, ensuring I take time to stop and look around. This past week I missed the ability to relax for a bit, creating more stress than needed. Recently it has been a struggle to find a routine to follow, that allows for a little bit of free time to take that step back. Allowing time each day to reflect, listen, and just be in the environment around me helps me center myself and assists in creating a peaceful moment. With today being the first day of fall I made a deal to a friend that we would go for bike rides every weekend until it finally got too cold to go outside. This creates at least two hours of time immersed in nature and the surrounding environments. This is something that will stay consistent as there is someone holding me accountable. I am searching for more ways to allow my friends to help us hold each other accountable in order to stay ahead or consistent with our course work while maintaining a balance for ourselves.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am a believer that nature helps the mind relax more. When ever I get overwhelmed or stressed, a bike ride or run really helps my mood. I recommend it to anyone who needs a break from their daily routine. Take it task by task and day by day. Hang in there friend!
Thanks for sharing,
Alyson
