Academics in November
School
has officially become stressful. Currently, life is stressful, morale is low,
grades are okay, and time is running out. At least that’s how this semester
feels. Consistently this semester I have fallen behind in my classes to end up
playing catch up in those classes. I have yet to be fully caught up in all my
classes at the same time. I would like to think that at this point in my
college academic career I would have prepared myself better for the semester
and prioritized my schedule to stay ahead in all my classes and keep
my grades to a higher point to what I am at right now. Going into this semester
this was my intention and a goal of mine, then things ultimately changed. At the
beginning of the year, I got myself off to a rocky start and have been battling
with myself to achieve a better academic position for the end of my undergrad
term. I can see a correlation with my school performance this semester to how I
spent most of my weekends. Most weekends this semester I have spent either
sleeping in, not been in Ada to complete work, or out and about with friends,
procrastinating work that should have been completed Saturday instead of
crunching all weekend projects into Sunday. Working through this specific week
is proven difficult already, with an assignment or exam every day this week I
have been able to divide my time up during the day to work on specific
projects, apply for jobs, and even managed to find time to exercise. While this
is a stressful time in every student’s semester, this time shows students where
they fall short, where they can improve, and what they can do better next time.
I was about to blog about this myself. I feel like at this point in the semester you just get overwhelmed because the work really starts piling up and the motivation goes out the window. I have had a hard time these past few weeks because once I turn one big assignment in, there is another one lined up and it feels like I just don't get a break. I wish I could say next semester would be easier, but I have a feeling it's going to be just as rough. I hope you get caught up and you end this semester on a better note.
ReplyDeleteAcademics in November definitely become a struggle. At the beginning of the year I felt that I had little to no homework. However, at this time of year I feel like I have a ton of stuff to do every night. Also, all of those end of semester assignments really begin to creep up on you as you realize that you have started none of them. I guess there is always next semester.
